Quizá era lógico pensar que en el año del confinamiento, Netflix iba a a salir muy bien parada. Lo que pocos esperaban es que su liderazgo en las nominaciones a los premios fuera tan abrumador. Así lo ha corroborado los Globos de Oro que entrega cada año la prensa extranjera en Hollywood.
Netflix ha sido la generadora y distribuidora de contenidos más nominada en la 78ª edición de los Globos de Oro, que celebrarán su ceremonia de entrega el próximo 28 de febrero y estarán presentados por Tina Fey y Amy Poehler, que compartirán funciones desde sus respectivas ciudades. Así Fey estará en directo desde el Rainbow Room de Nueva York, mientras Poehler lo hará desde el Beverly Hilton, en Beverly Hills. Los Globos de Oro 2021 honrarán este año a Jane Fonda con el premio Cecil B. DeMille y a Norman Lear con el premio Carol Burnett.
Netflix ha recibido un total de 22 nominaciones en el apartado de cine y 20 más en televisión. A gran distancia queda ya Amazon Studios, con siete candidaturas en cine, mientras que en televisión la segunda compañía más nominada es la plataforma HBO.
‘Mank’ es la película con un mayor número de candidaturas, con seis en total. Le sigue por número de nominaciones ‘El juicio de los 7 de Chicago’ (The Trial Of The Chicago 7), con cinco, ambas de Netflix, mientras que con cuatro opciones hay tres producciones cinematográficas: ‘El padre’, ‘Nomadland’ y ‘Una joven prometedora’ (Promising Young Woman). Estos son los filme que compiten por el premio al mejor drama del año.
Ya con tres nominaciones se queda la comedia ‘Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, que compite por el Globo de Oro a mejor película de comedia o musical junto a ‘Hamilton’, ‘Music’, ‘Palm Springs’ y ‘The Prom’.
Emerald Fennell por ‘Una joven prometedora’, David Fincher por ‘Mank’, Regina King ‘One Night In Miami…’, Aaron Sorkin por ‘El juicio de los 7 de Chicago’ y Chloé Zhao por ‘Nomadland’, pugnarán por el galardón al mejor director.
En el apartado de televisión, las obras más nominadas este año son la nueva temporada de ‘The Crown’, con seis en total, seguida de la comedia también de Netflix ‘Schitt’s Creek’, con cinco. Con cuatro candidaturas se quedan ‘Ozark’ y ‘The Undoing’.
Optan al Globo de Oro a la mejor serie dramática ‘The Crown’, ‘Lovecraft Country’, ‘The Mandalorian’, ‘Ozark’ y ‘Ratched’. En comedia han sido nominadas las series ‘Emily In Paris’, ‘The Flight Attendant’, ‘The Great’, ‘Schitt’s Creek’ y ‘Ted Lasso’
