La 95ª edición de los premios de la Academia de Hollywood no tendrá obras españolas entre sus nominados. Finalmente, los cuatro cortometrajes de ficción nacionales que estaban en la lista corta no han pasado la criba final.
‘Votamos’, de Santiago Requejo; ‘Plastic Killer’, de Josep Pozo; ‘El tratamiento’, de Álvaro Carmona y ‘Tula’, de Beatriz de Silva se quedan así a las puertas de la ceremonia que se celebrará en el Teatro Dolby de Hollywood el próximo 12 de marzo y que será retrasmitida a más de 200 territorios de todo el planeta.
Sí ha conseguido una nominación a mejor actriz la intérprete hispano-cubana Ana de Armas, por su papel en ‘Blonde’, donde da vida al mito Marilyn Monroe. De Armas se jugará el Oscar con Cate Blanchett (‘Tár’), la gran favorita; Andrea Riseborough (‘To Leslie’); Michelle Williams (‘The Fabelmans’) y Michelle Yeoh (‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’).
Precisamente ‘Todo a la vez en todas partes’ es el filme que lidera las nominaciones de este año con un total de once, incluyendo, claro está, la de mejor película. La película vuelve a los cines en más de 30 ciudades españolas a partir del 3 de febrero. El filme de Daniel Kwan y Daniel Scheinert competirá por el Oscar al mejor filme del año junto a producciones europeas como la sueca ‘Triangulo de tristeza’ y la alemana ‘Sin novedad en el frente’, además de ‘The Banshees of Inisherin’ (‘Almas en pena de Inisherin’), ‘Avatar: El sentido del agua’, ‘Elvis’, ‘The Fabelmans’, ‘Tár’, ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ y ‘Women Talking’.
En el apartado de dirección los candidatos este año son Martin McDonagh por ‘The Banshees of Inisherin’, Daniel Kwan y Daniel Scheinert por ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’, Steven Spielberg por ‘The Fabelmans’, Todd Field por ‘Tár’ y el sueco Ruben Östlund por ‘Triangulo de tristeza’, que ya fue distinguida el pasado diciembre como mejor película en los Premios del Cine Europeo y en mayo ganó la Palma de Oro de Cannes.
Siguen a ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’ en número de nominaciones ‘The Banshees of Inisherin’ y ‘Sin novedad en el frente’ con nueve nominaciones cada una; ‘Elvis’ mientras que ‘Elvis’ acumula ocho y ‘Los Fabelmans’, un total de siete. Con seis opciones aparecen ‘Tár’ y ‘Top Gun: Maverick’, con cinco ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ y el filme más taquillero del año, ‘Avatar: El sentido del agua’, suma cuatro.
